Making this Healthy Peach Raspberry Smoothie is easy to prepare and makes a delicious breakfast beverage or snack. It is so simple with frozen raspberries and peaches with yogurt, soy milk and a touch of honey.
Last week I was finally putting away all my holiday decorations. I usually have them done right around New Year's day but this year we were busy and I did some babysitting for the grandkids (I even braved it and took them to the Mall of America). I absolutely love decorating my house for Christmas BUT I have to admit, not so fond of putting everything away. I always say too that I am going to organize everything when it goes back in tubs but that never happens either. So next year when I pull everything out again, I'll make those promises in my head and who knows, maybe I will do in 2018!
So what does all this have to do with a healthy peach raspberry smoothie? Well, I needed some extra energy to keep me motivated to get the job done. I'm trying to cut back on pop (or soda) related drinks and water didn't seem appealing to me at that moment. I wanted something refreshing, tasty and this fit the bill. Everything goes in the blender and in a few minutes you are sipping on this creamy smoothie.
It seems like every year around this time, I am looking to make smoothie recipes. In the past years, I have made a few like this Mango Raspberry one that is actually two toned. I tried doing that with this one but I think I was a little heavy handed on pouring the second layer but you could certainly give it a try. If you prefer smoothies in a bowl, then I would recommend this Strawberry Banana bowl that is topped with lots of luscious fruit and some almonds.
Hope your new year is getting off to a great start!
