This Apple Pie Cinnamon cocktail (for the over 21 crowd) is a festive drink for fall. Serve either warm or cold.
Be sure to add this drink to your holiday menu when planning a gathering. The apple pie taste is so good.
Today's recipe is for the adults and it's true confession time! Some of you may or may not know this but I'm a cocktail sort of gal. And with it being fall, I enjoy drinks with fall flavors such as this Apple Pie Cinnamon Cocktail.
Trust me, this really tastes like liquid apple pie and is not too heavy on the alcohol side since half of the drink is made with fresh apple cider.
It's tasty, not too sweet and would be perfect for a fall party or just sipping by the fire. I'll definitely be serving this next time we have some friends over. Any takers?
Fresh Apple Cider is the key to this tasty fall beverage!
Another true confession is that we have a lot of liquor in our cabinet. Whenever I find a new drink I want to try, that usually involves something we don't have. So we have many ⅔ to ¾ full bottles in our cabinet.
Ingredients
- Vanilla Vodka
- Fireball Whiskey
- Apple Cider
- Sugar
- Cinnamon
- Honey
- Apple slice for garnish (if desired)
I'm trying to use up what we have and happy to say we did have the two different kinds of alcohol needed for this drink. Whew, the DIY Guy was happy - while he usually enjoys what I make, he prefers that I not buy any more.
As I was sipping this one, I have a feeling it would be great served warm. I would first heat up the cider then add the other alcohol to it.
Just imagine coming in from the cold, maybe you just shoveled the driveway, or came home from work and need to warm up and relax. Just put another log on fire, wrap up in a blanket and enjoy this tasty beverage.
While I like to give alternatives to make this kid friendly, I'm drawing a blank. Just serve the cider cold or hot to please the underage crowd. If you have any ideas, leave me a comment.
Instructions
This is the easy part! First run a bit of honey on the rim of your cocktail glass then dip into a mixture made of sugar and cinnamon.
Next shake the remaining ingredients in a martini shaker and pour into a old fashioned glass with ice. Done - sip and enjoy!

Like the look of this cocktail! I must say that I had missed the whiskey part in the title when reading it :)! I am not much of a whiskey drinker but love the apple cinnamon part there! Also I have to admit that this is the first time I hear about vanilla vodka:).
