These Orange Creamsicle Shakes are a great way to enjoy a tasty summer beverage! So creamy and can be made with or without alcohol.
Today's recipe - Orange Creamsicle Mini Shakes was not my original intent. These were suppose to be made into popsicles... And of course there is a story to go along with it - I was super excited to try my popsicle molds again and make one of my favorite childhood summer treats BUT I wanted to give it a little punch with adding some alcohol.
I thought if I added just a little bit that I would not have a problem. So I put the ingredients in the blender, mixed it up and poured into my molds.
Well, just then the DIY Guy walked by and said "those won't freeze good". I said "of course they will!" So I patiently waited....
Many, many hours later, I took them out of the freezer and they were really firm.... ha, I was right but as soon as these came out, they started melting like crazy and of course, again, at that point he walked by.
He knew I was pretty disappointed, just looked at me and didn't say a word. Smart guy.
So I thought, well, maybe I can put what I have back in the blender and make milk shakes. Yep, that worked! No waste and the shakes were really good!
So today's lesson is - your husband or significant other MAY be right sometimes, and when life gives you melty popsicles turn them into milk shakes!
