There is no need to feel guilty when you can treat your sweetheart to these easy Valentine Baked Vanilla Donuts. These light and airy donuts are made festive with a tinted pink vanilla frosting and decked out with fun sprinkles!
Soon love will be in the air and what better way to show that special someone you care about than to make a batch of these pretty in pink donuts. They are simple to make and are sure to get their heart all a-flutter!
There are so easy because they are baked, not fried so there is no need to mess up your kitchen. Also, instead of make a frosting, use store bought vanilla frosting and tint to the shade of pink you like. You could even buy a flavored frosting like strawberry - just don't forget the sprinkles! Because everything in the whole wide world is better with them!
Big kids and little kids of all ages can enjoy this special treat on Valentine's Day. You may need to make a batch or two. Ours did not last long and we still have a few days to go. 🙂 With the grandkids visiting us this weekend, I'll definitely be baking up a new batch.
Do you know the secret to getting donuts to taste like the ones in the bakery? It is the addition of a little bit of nutmeg. I read that somewhere and after I start doing that, I can definitely see why that is true.
I have made other baked donut recipes that you might enjoy like these Irish Cream Glazed Donuts, Lemon Poppy Seed and Mini Cinnamon Sugar Donuts (these taste just like you get at the fair without all that grease).
Tips for making Valentine Baked Vanilla Donuts:
- Use a donut baking pan
- Instead of making a glaze, slightly warm up canned vanilla frosting in a microwave, add food coloring then dip the donuts
- Immediately add sprinkles before the frosting firms up
- Store in an airtight container for about 3 days on your counter
- Make two batches!
Other fun {baked} donuts to try from my blogging friends:

- Chocolate Glazed
- Cherry Frosted
