This easy Fresh Strawberry Margarita is sure to be a spring and summer favorite with juicy strawberries, tangy limes, honey, triple sec and tequila.
Imagine yourself sitting on your deck or porch gathered with a few friends and enjoying one of these freshly made margaritas. It can either be Cinco de Mayo, other holidays or just because (I like the just because!)
The weather is getting warmer and it is time to be outside, sitting back and relaxing. Maybe you've been hibernating all winter and looking for an excuse to connect with your neighbors. Make a pitcher of drinks, send out an all call to come over and get the party started.
As we celebrate Cinco de Mayo, these drinks can be whipped up in no time. Maybe make a batch of guacamole too and end with an easy sweet treat of chocolate dipped strawberries made festive using white chocolate and green sprinkles.
Ingredients
- fresh strawberries
- fresh lime juice
- tequila
- honey
- triple sec
- coarse salt (for rim)
Equipment used
I recommend using a good blender for this drink. Also be sure to get some fun glasses!
Mid-range price tequila would work best avoiding a cheap one. We would recommend using a white tequila.
Yes, add the ice in with the blender instead of serving it over the rocks.
Yes, you could use Cointreau in place. The alcohol range will be a bit stronger.
Top Tip
This recipe has only been tried with fresh strawberries and would recommend not using frozen.
Hope you enjoy this refreshing drink that you can make from scratch! Keep cool!
